You may be familiar with service bulletin 366C, which requires inspection of the carburetor throttle body screw in some competing manufacturers' products after every 50 hours of engine operation. AVStar carburetors are exempt from this requirement. Why? Billet machining from solid 6061 T6 aluminum provides up to 66% higher yield strength than legacy cast alternatives, which allows a significant increase in torque when coupling parts. Engineering Manager Chad demonstrates this in the above video.
